Oh dear — sounds like just the kind of romance I am helpless against. She seeks solace in the friendship of Sylvia Delafield and her handsome and intelligent brother, Henry, who will inherit the vast Blackmoore estate.
It did make Kate sound a bit too modern, but in the end, I got used to it, and decided it was irrelevant. Read this fabulous book to find the answers found in this one woman’s secretly locked heart The main topic could be summarized as “the right to make your own decisions, bladkmoore ownership of your own future and at some point take charge of your own life”.
To gain nothing in return but a silly girl who cares only for Blackmoore and Mozart? If you can get me to shed a tear, you get 5 stars.
