When I read the synopsis for this book, I got excited, because of the element of forbidden romance. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the-eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Not as good as the first novel, but not terrible either. They were the kind of couple that made each other stronger and I thought that was lovely. He never blamed anyone for his past but himself.
